Mt. 22:9 (NIV) “Go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.”
John 2:46 (NASB) "Nathanael said to him, 'Can anything good come out of Nazareth?' Philip said, 'Come and see.'"
Invite to Worship--Invite lost people to worship. Researcher George Barna reports that 1 out of 4 Americans would attend church with someone who invites them. Train your people to invite others to worship. Invite family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, classmates, sales clerks, barbers, sports team members, and anyone else you meet in the course of the day. Send special invitations to new move-ins and others discovered during prospect searches.
Make sure your facilities are inviting. Your parking lot should be clean, the grounds well maintained, signs should direct newcomers with clarity. Greeters must be friendly without being stifling. Visitors and guests should feel comfortable and at ease. Examine every aspect of your facilities and worship format for anything lost people would consider "weird" or "creepy." Pay special attention to children's spaces and ladies restrooms. Spend the necessary money to make these high quality places. The key word to remember is Excellence.
